1. We cannot add a new "budget line" at this time.

The cost of schoolboardnet is not "new" money but a "redeployment" of "old" money already being spent on paper packets or IT services.  schoolboardnet will ultimately reduce your budget.

2. We cannot afford to buy our board members laptops.

schoolboardnet is designed to not require computers in the board room.  Much of the value is in the electronic delivery of the packets which can be accessed with board member's existing home or office computers.

3. Some of our board members are not technically "savvy".

Since board members are not requred to use computers in the board room, each board member can use as much or as little of the service as they are comfortable using.  Over time they can become more and more comfortable with the technology.

4. Our IT department is not capable or willing to support these services.

schoolboardnet is totally hosted, provides 24x7 support and requires very little IT support or involvement.

5. We don't have time or funds for a lot of training.
